Enter the awesome Gower Duathlon, start and finish overlooking the famous Worms Head, who could want for a better location? Also being held on the same day as the Rhossili 10k which will help make a very special race day atmosphere!!! Entry slots available soon.
Just to say a massive thank you to all the athletes and support teams who contributed to an excellent weekend of racing.
We have already started to look at ways of improving the event for 2011 and we have a provisional date of the 7th May.
We are looking to make the following improvements:
Offer athletes the opportunity to become a GMF ambassador. All you have to do is sign up 10 friends and you get to race for free as well as some other incentives that will be released shortly.
Provide athletes with a free pasta party.
Provide all athletes and supporter with refreshments directly from the race location.
Hold the 10K after the conclusion of the duathlon which will increase the number of spectators to create that special atmosphere for all the athletes.
Offer a cash prize if you beat this years winner Lee Rankin, if not Lee will keep the pot!! Chase that English Hare!!
Include fun childrens races in the race field and create a family day out with a BBQ and music throughout the day.
Start and finish the run in the race field and include a section out toward Worms Head to show off the area to its full potential.
We would also welcome any ideas that you may have, we are committed to delivering a world class race in a world class venue but we need YOUR help!! If you enjoyed the event then please tell as many people as possible!!

With the race weekend fast approaching we just wanted to let you know some details, please see below:
Information packs will be sent out shortly via email which will contain all the relevant information. Please read carefully to ensure that you are fully aware of the weekend’s plans. We would like to request that if possible could athletes register on Friday for the Duathlons.
If you have requested camping then you will need to book your pitch directly with Pitton Cross Campsite. Ensure that you state that you are competing in the FRF Mazda Gower Multisport Festival.

Just to let you know that this years race will take place on 15/05/10. We aim to have the website updated with the ability to enter online live by the end of January. In the mean time you can keep an eye out for news on all of Tri and Enters ever growing list of high quality events by visiting www.triandenter.com as we will put a link on there when we are ready to launch.
The exciting news is that this year’s full distance race is the Welsh Duathlon championships. The race will still attract and welcome athletes of all abilities.
We do have limited places in all our races and there has been a massive amount of interest in this year’s calendar so we would advise you to enter early.

Due to the success of 2009 (Read one of the UK's top Duathletes Jez Cox tri247 article - Testimonial page) The FRF Mazda Gower Multisport Festival will take place on 15th May 2010. The full race has been awarded the honor of hosting the Welsh Duathlon Championships. The race will welcome athletes of all abilities with the weekend commencing on the 14th May with the pasta party. The event is in association with Tri and Enter Events and DB Max Events and supported by Prostate UK and FRF Mazda.
Located in the beautiful village of Rhossilli on the Gower Peninsula, it's set to be one of the most scenic events in the UK.
Duathletes often play second fiddle to their triathlete cousins during the British summer, but in 2009 that changed. The FRF Mazda Gower Multisport Festival introduces a high-end event focused on giving duathletes and runners a complete racing experience this May.
A pre-event pasta party and post event BBQ along with competitor camping and one of the most spectacular bike and run courses you're ever likely to complete, makes this an unmissable event. The beautiful beaches and post race parties and fun races, offer an ideal opportunity to make a weekend of it for the whole family. This is guaranteed to become a ‘must do’ race for all the athletes that are lucky enough to secure an entry slot.
